Future Plans

The Agency plans to incorporate a community garden in its strategic plan (Nu Hope Gardens). The Agency currently operates in an area of the city that is classified as a food desert. The creation of a community garden would provide an opportunity for veterans to develop /expand their entrepreneurial skills through planning, planting, harvesting, and distribution of produce. The community garden will give the veterans access to fresh fruits and vegetables themselves and be a resource to those in the community at large.
